Meet Our Team
Ice Hockey

David LoPresti
Founder and Head Advisor
David LoPresti has been advising athletes and their families for the past decade. He has helped players of all skills and abilities move on to higher levels of play .
Coming from an ice hockey background, David played prep school hockey at the Northfield Mount Hermon School (NEPSAC) and then went on to play collegiate hockey at Division I, Boston University (Hockey East).
While at BU his teams went on to win 2 Beanpot Championships, a Hockey East regular season championship, made an NCAA tournament and was ranked #1 in the nation. After graduation he went on to play professional hockey in both Europe and the United States. This included playing for the affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes in the ECHL.
After his playing days he began coaching. Since then he has coached youth teams, high schools, Prep School and Junior programs. He has worked with USA Hockey as an evaluator at their regional camps. He also has represented the United States overseas in several international tournaments, having won two of them.
For three years he was a faculty member and hockey coach at the New Hampton School (NEPSAC) in New Hampshire. During his time at New Hampton his teams have gone to the New England Prep Small school championship game and has helped hundreds of athletes to move on to either junior hockey or college. David currently shares time between offices in Rhode Island and Florida.

John Humphrey
Director of Youth Tournaments
John Humphrey is the head of all youth hockey tournaments for MCN Sports Advising. Growing up in Charlestown, MA John has been involved in ice hockey from a young age. After a standout career at Arlington Catholic, John went on to play at Prep School hockey at the New Hampton School. While at New Hampton he was captain his senior year and helped lead his team to the New England Prep Small School Championship game.
After graduation John went on to Southern New Hampshire University were he is a member of their varisty hockey team. In 2013-14 John helped lead the Penman to the Northeast 10 Division Championship.
John has been coaching for the past 4 years and is heavily involved in youth hockey. He has been leading summer showcase teams teams over the past few years for the New England Nordiques and the New Hampshire Avalanche.
John brings knowledge of recruitment and exprience to the MCN team.

Matt Nee
European Scout
Originally from South Boston, MA, Matt has been living in Munich, Germany for the past 12 years. He currently coaches for EHC Munich and is involved in all levels of the organization.
Matt played varsity hockey at Boston College High School before taking a Post Graduate year at the Berkshire School (NEPSAC). After graduation Matt went on to play college hockey at the University of Connecticut.
Matt's pro career began playing for the Peissenberg Hornets in the German Reginal Liga. He averaged a point a game before knee injury would end his playing career.
In 2008 Matt helped open the first and only synthetic ice training facility in Munich, Xtreme Hockey Academy. At XHA Matt worked with a number of national and professional level players on developing their skills and was one of the head instrcutors. He joined EHC Munich in 2010.
Matt has great knowledge of European hockey and experience in helping players move on to the US or Canada.

Packy Jones
Advisor, Scout
Originally from Skaneateles, NY, Packy has been around hockey since he was three years old. He has played hockey at the AAA, prep school, and NCAA level and most recently won a state championship coaching for the Florida Panthers organization.
While attending Brooks School he worked in their admission house and is extremely familiar with the prep school admission and recruiting process.
He continued his hockey career and admission experience at Nazareth College where he played NCAA Division III for four years.

Rebecca Russo
Women's Advisor United States
Rebbeca Russo has had a very destinguished career as a hockey payer. The Westport, CT native grew up playing for nationally recoginized Mid Fairfield. She then went on to play 2 season at the Bershire School in the New England Prep School leagaue and then 2 season at powerhouse Shattack St Marys.
At Shattack's she was a member of the 2011 National Championship team, was leading scorer her senior year, attend USA Hockey national camp all four years of High School and played for the U18 USA National team in 2011 in series with Canada.
Rebecca accepted a scholarship to play hockey at Boston University. She finished her career at BU with 85 points in 144 games and is the holder of 2 school records. She was also a memeber of 3 Hockey East Championship teams and made a Final Four appearance in 2013.

Alison LoPresti
Administrator & CFO
Alison handles all of the logistics, finances and details of everything going on behind the scenes at MCN. In addition to being a stellar wife and mother, she is also involved in animal rescue, loves sports, is an avid cook and has an affinity for a good (or great) bottle of wine.
